Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide a holistic, values-driven education that guides our students to reach their full potential. Integrating Islamic knowledge, spirituality, and character development with excellent academics, we nurture lifelong learners who pursue excellence in faith, scholarship, and service to humanity.

Our Vision


Our vision is to be the premier school for New York City Muslim families, providing a transformative education rooted in academic excellence, Quranic principles, and Prophetic character. We empower our students to strive for excellence in all their future pursuits with a sincere love of Islam.

Educational Philosophy

Pillars that Guide Us

Iman (Faith)
Nurturing and strengthening the faith of our students is at the heart of everything we do. We instill a deep belief in Allah (swt), His angels, His books, His messengers, the Day of Judgment, and the divine decree. Through an integrated Islamic and general curriculum, we cultivate a strong connection with Allah (swt) and love for the Prophet Muhammad (saw), grounding our students firmly in their deen.
Ilm (Knowledge)
The Qur'an instructs us to supplicate saying, "My Lord! Increase me in knowledge" (Qur'an 20:114). We want to increase our students' knowledge, teach them how to learn, and instill a love and respect for learning and knowledge in them – to serve them well in both this life and the next.
Suhbah (Companionship)
The Qur'an says we are one ummah, and we should strive together as a community. The companions of the Prophet (saw), the Sahaba, were the best examples of this. We want our children to learn how to act as one community and one body, forming lifelong friendships and instilling a connection to each other and the ummah based on love for one another for the sake of Allah (swt).
Ihsan (Excellence)
Ihsan means striving for perfection and excellence in all we do for Allah's sake (swt). It is the highest level of faith and worship. Our school instills the pursuit of ihsan in our students, encouraging them to give their best in their studies, character, and deeds. We nurture resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement, preparing our students to excel in both dunya and akhirah.
Akhlaq (Character)
We believe that exemplary character is the hallmark of a true believer. Our school emphasizes the development of good akhlaq, nurturing Islamic virtues like compassion, respect, honesty, and integrity in all dealings. We develop principled, ethical, and socially responsible citizens through a character education curriculum, positive role modeling, and a values-based learning environment.
Khidmah (Service)
Serving others selflessly for the sake of Allah (swt) is one of the highest forms of worship. We foster the spirit of khidmah in our students by encouraging them to serve their families, communities, and humanity. Community service and volunteer work are integral to our curriculum, instilling a lifelong commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Fitra (True Nature)
We believe children are inherently good and unique, and may learn in different ways. We want to preserve and nurture each child's true nature and meet them where they are developmentally while encouraging their growth.
Adab (Etiquette)
Good adab – Islamic etiquette, manners, and decorum – is essential to faith. At our school, we cultivate refined adab in our students' interactions with their teachers, peers, parents, and society at large. From classroom conduct to social gatherings, we emphasize the importance of exemplary manners, modesty, and respect for others, as taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw).
Rahmah (Mercy)
Our namesake. Allah tells us in the Qur'an, "It was only as a mercy that We sent you [Prophet Muhammad] to all people." We want to be a school that exemplifies this trait, and always bring mercy to the forefront in our relationships with our students, staff, and families.
